le Pig is the latest release from HillCrest Vineyard and Dyson DeMara. This red blend is designed to complement pork meals.
As with all of Dyson's wines, this well balanced red exhibits fresh cherry fruit with an easy finish.
Do yourself a favor and head out to the winery and enjoy the whole line up of wines, from bold reds to delicious desert wines. Head West on Garden Valley Road, take Melrose Road just out of town and follow the signs!

Greetings from the Umpqua Wineau
I am so glad you found my blog on the Wines, Wineries, and Wine Makers of the Umpqua Valley AVA. Located just 3 hours south of Portland our region is warmer and drier than the Willamette; therefore we grow a lot more than Pinot Noir!!
Stop back often or add my blog to your Google reader. Either way you can keep up on the latest news from the wine road here in Douglas County Oregon.
In 2007 I moved here from Sonoma and Mendocino Counties in CA,where I worked in various tasting rooms for 6 years, such as Fetzer and Raymond Burr. I was surprised at the quality of the wine here. That is the glorious mystery of wine!
Before that I ran biking tours to Brittany in France for ten years. I love to tour!
Unlike the Napa scene, there's great wine in a peaceful setting here in the Umpqua Valley AVA surrounding Roseburg, Oregon.
I offer wine tours of the Umpqua Valley AVA. Join me on the "Vin Van" for personalized, fun, and educational wine tours in the Oregon countryside.
