If you haven't heard of the Girl on Grapes, allow me to introduce a fellow wine geek to you. Her name is Diane and she has been know as the GOG for several years now, beginning with her first wine article in the Douglas County News. You can read her insights on wine every week in that paper.
Since those humble begingings she has estableished herself as a local food and wine pairing guru. She conducts a wildly popular cooking class at her 105 year old one-room schoolhouse.
Her love of wine started many years ago in the Napa and Sonoma County wine region. Unlike most, she started with the big bold CA cabs and has been exploring wine ever since. Four years ago she landed here in the Umpqua Valley and has blossomed in her love of wine.
