Abacela Soon to Open New Facility

It's always a good sign if one of your local wineries can invest a big chunk of change for a pretty fancy tasting room.  Abacela Vineyard, is set to open a beautiful new visitor center.

This is from their website;  "The grand opening of Abacela’s “Vine & Wine Center” (V&WC) will be Saturday, May 14 through Friday, May 20, 2011. The spacious, eco-friendly facility is open 11:00 am until 6:00 pm daily to host casual or serious wine explorers. Visitors may opt for a traditional tasting or a truly immersive wine experience that includes innovative “terroir-driven” tastings and visual reconciliation to where the grapes are grown plus an interpretive “Winegrowers Walk.”

Having toured the site prior to the opening I can tell you that it will showcase the splendid vineyards of Abacela.  you may recall the current tasting room and it's rather crowded space.  The new building will be light-years away from that experience.  Do yourself a favor and plan a trip to enjoy the new digs and of course, the wine!
