You Say Coury; I Say Sommer, let's call the whole thing off!

A recent editorial in the News-Time of Forest Grove:

"A lot of work went into the “pinot” branding and it would be a shame to dilute that effort. And while it’s true the city has drawn some flak for its birthright claim, every time a wine lover in Newberg or Roseburg complains that they are the true birthplace of Oregon’s most famous variety, it’s a reminder that Forest Grove’s vinicultural roots run just as deep as those in the better-known wine centers in Southern Oregon and Yamhill County."

And since when is telling the truth, complaining??  And it's the Umpqua Valley AVA.

Let me see if I get this right.  We spent a lot of money on a false claim but it's already out there so phooey on the rest of you for not grabbing the slogan first, ie complain.  Besides, any publicity, even if it's negative is good for Forest Grove.

And I hear FG is selling the Brooklyn Bridge.
