Jesus’ First Miracle

Lots of folks are saying: “Put Jesus back into Christmas”.  Now I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that you put “wine into Christmas” , after all this is where the good stuff starts to happen in the New Testament! 

Of all the amazing things that are attributed to Jesus, it turns out that wine was on his mind from the start!  Brings a whole new meaning to BYOB.  Run out of wine?  Not a problem!  “I’ll make more”, says Jesus!  My kind of guy.

Today we have to rely on our modern day miracle makers: winemakers!  And thankfully we have a whole bunch of them here in the Umpqua Valley.  And it’s the same old miracle: turn water into wine!  The essential part of the miracle was that it was the best wine of the party that Jesus provided.  And again, our winemakers are following in that tradition.  Our wines are world class!

So give the gift of wine and feel good about putting a little Jesus into your Holidays.
