Last night Oregon Wine Country Lifestyles had its first wine and food pairing dinner at the Old Schoolhouse. A group of 20 diners enjoyed a six course meal with 7 local wines. Although the warmest day of the year everyone had a great time.
Last night was the culmination of a solid year of work to establish our kitchen and outdoor dining patio. Do not let anyone tell you it’s an easy thing to open a business in Douglas County! More hoops than a mega street jewelry sale. The only thing missing was the “treat” after each performance.
Yet, despite all that, we did it. Perhaps now I can “get a life” and take some time to go exploring the wine scene in other areas of the state! Keep an eye out for my travel reports.
