Can anyone, please, explain to me why Roseburg doesn't have at least one top-chef restuarant focused on our local wines? For those of us that enjoy a great bottle of wine we are left ruminating over the lack of somewhere other than home to drink it.
While there are several restaurants of note here, no one seems to be taking that next step into a destination restaurant. This means elevating the dining experience to a level that highlights both the food and wine. I believe it's a case of "Can't see the forest for the trees". Which is quit ironic here in Lumber Land.
Now I'm not just shooting from the hip here. We have meet hundreds of wine enthusiasts in our wine tour biz, and not a one of them felt that Roseburg had a "decent" wine restuarant. With all this great wine surrounding Roseburg why hasn't anyone taken up the banner to provide us with a place to eat?
Great Wine deserves Great Food.
