Oh those French! I really do love them. What's not to love from a culture that's been making wine for millennium! We're such little babes. Yet, terriour is earth, any where you find it. We are finding out that Umpqua Valley does a pretty good job of it.

I'm no soil expert, that's for sure. Dirt is dirt. But when you throw a 777 Pinot Noir clone in it, things start to happen. My attitude is very simple: just love the little fellows. From what I can tell of the wine makers I've meet around here, there's a lot of love goin' on!
