"It's a Family Affair"

What a great day! Diane and I had lots of fun educating and entertaining a delightful group of women from Northern CA on our first wine tour of the season. They made the trip to Roseburg with one thing in mind: to discover and enjoy the wines of Umpqua Valley. They told us that it was either Napa or here. We're glad they made the right choice!

Our first stop was to visit Gabor Palotai (photo: with mustache ) and experience his line up of Yummy wines. There's nothing better than a clutch of young tasters and a Hungarian winemaker! Hugs are mandatory.

The operative word for our tours of Umpqua Valley wineries is FAMILY. You really do feel apart of the collective wine family here. Each winery has it's unique way of welcoming guests, but all share the ability to make you feel special. Try to get that feeling in Napa! As Stephen and Gloria Reustle say: " Come as Strangers, Leave as Friends...".
